I don’t understand why my post about the sentencing of the the man who shot WCO Grove was locked. I mean I didn’t think it was that controversial, I did put the original post here when he was murdered so this was just a follow up.
I do apologize to any that I may have offended though I have seen worse posted here without any censoring. Well it is what it is but a pm or a email letting me know what I did wrong would have been nice too.
Seems like there coulda been an explination?
Nighthawk, I’ll stick my neck out and suggest that it might not have been your post but one or more people might have have been concerned about the direction the thread might take. I dunno. I saw this thread before I saw the other one.

I think it was the follow-on posts which got it locked. It looked like it was going to turn into a political debate about the death penalty – and this forum is thankfully mostly politics free.
I don’t think you need to apologize for stating the bare facts of the matter.
If my response was one that brought on the closing, I also apologize. I had no intention of making the thread a political debate on anything, but I can see how my statement could have poked that particular bear. Truly, I value the relatively a-political nature of this board, and want very much for it to remain this way.
I don’t know that there is blame to be placed, but assume it was locked for the right intentions. And view it as a just and good call.
I don’t assume anything and I just wanted to know so I can avoid posting such things in the future. I am washing my hands of all of it now.
