hook - Dai Riki 135 #16
thread - MFC 8/0 brown
rib - x-small wire copper
tail/abdomen - pheasant tail
wingcase - goose biot rusty brown
thorax - rust rabbit/hare’s ear antron mix
legs - pheasant tail/Midge Krystal Flash pearl

Part 1

mash barb, start thread, tie in rib, wrap back to point above barb

measure a few pt fibers (not quite shank length); tie in

wrap to hook point; tie off/trim

counterwrap rib; helicopter end, cover with thread

tie in biot

tie in pt fibers

Part 2

tie in KF; trim pt butts

dub thread, dub thorax

divide

pull biot forward; tie down, half hitch x 2, SHHAN

trim KF, trim biot, leave the stub (take the cannoli)

What’s the reason for not trimming the biot stub?

That’s how Hogan does it, so I figured I’d keep it the same.
