Hello Everyone,
I have stumbled across a hexagraph rod that is inscribed “Walton Powell Hexagraph #1”.
I contacted the hexagraph company to attain as much info as possible, but quite frankly they are baffled.
I was just wondering if there were any collectors out there who might be able to help me run down this rod’s lineage?
It seems the real question is, what is the #1 for?
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Charlie

Charlie the old Hexagraph rods were made to look like bamboo rods and like bamboo they listed them with the number of tips they came with. Such as if it was a 2pc single tip then it was on the rod as 2/1…one that came with 2 tips was listed on the rod as 2/2. So the only thing I can think of is maybe someone inscribed it as #1 meaning it was a single tip rod. Are there any other markings on it at all?
Steve
Faded Fly,
Instead of Hexagraph - Google Walton Powell hexagraph - lots of stuff there! Example link of info below! Hope this helps!! Looks like you may have the first rod built in that series!
