I really don’t live where the picture is …but it’s Oregon…these are what we see!!!

There are some BIG Brookies in there! HOSMER
Doug :!:

Beat me, Hosmer, the first Fly Fishing Only lake in Oregon. Your going back to the early sixties. A pretty shallow lake if I remember right.

Isn’t that over by Sparks Lake and East Lake? There are some big brookies in there indeed.

Central OR here I come

Marty

Ive wind drifted Big Lava in a tube and man o man does it have some monster Brookies in it. Full sinking line, San Juan worms, drift from the windy side to the lee and walk on around. If you can carry the big fish you may want to keep. East, Wickiup, all good lakes to fish. Crane Prarrie is another great fly fishing lake for very nice rainbows. East has big browns. My lips are watering.

I recognize that contrail.

Jonezee,
A couple weeks ago someone caught a 20 lb rainbow at Big Lava. Beat the lake record by 8 lbs.
Doug

Like the “Reel Recovery” Program listed on that page, I’m going to have to do a search of this region and see if there might be something like that here…
Beautiful lake…
