I have a pair of Sage Glomitts and I have a problem holding on to my fly rod:( while I am wearing them. The polyesther on the palm is too slick. I once had a pair of wool fingerless gloves that had sticky dots on the palms, but I don’t know what they were made of. Anybody have any ideas about making the gripping surface tacky enough to comfortably hold my rod. Thanks.
I have dotted the palms of gloves with “GE Silicone” caulking or sealant and it did help with the grip. You should be able to find it at almost any hardware store.

Go get those wool fingerless gloves again! The other problem with Glomitts, IMO, is that the fly line catches on the folded back mitten.
I second John’s post.
plasti-dip for tool handles, also works for flies.

why would I dip my flies in plastic again?
