Help! PM?

HELP!!! (That’s becoming my most used word. Yuck!)

I received email notification of a PM from FAOL’s own Super Sweetheart, Betty Hiner, And I’ve spent most of an hour trying to figure out how to reply. The email provided a direct link to the PM, but now I’m stuck! Been through the FAQ, search, looked at many pages but I’m still as dumb as when I started.

How do I send a PM??? I couldn’t even get back to my own data area where I may have been able to open up some info to provide Betty an answer.

Again - HELP - and again - Thanks very much.

Bill

Bill,
If you’re logged onto the message board (and you are or you would not have been able to post) up in the top left, directly under the Fly Angler’s OnLine logo, you will see something that looks like
Logout with your usename in brackets
Next to that there is a thing that will say 0 new messages (or however many you have in there).

Click on the words New Messages.

You will see her message listed there in a similar way to what messages look like on the board.
Click on her message to open it up.
Click on the reply button in the lower right part of the screen,
Type the message and submit. You’ll have to scroll down a bit as the submit button may not be immediately visible.

I hope this is helpful.

Jeff

At the bottom of the box her message is in, on the right side there is a button that syas reply.
Hit that and you can send a message.

You can get to the messages by hittting the message thing right by the top where is shows if you are loggedin or not.

Hope this helps.

Rick

Assuming you are logged in, look at the top of the page and you should see “new messages” next to ‘Logout’. When the new page opens click on the Betty’s message to open it up. In the lower right hand corner is a little box that says ‘Reply’, click on it and then type in your message to Betty. Don’t forget to hit send.

Never mind!

I, Bill Dolt, being of unsound mind…went back and tried again right from Betty’s original PM. The mental cloud lifted and I’ve managed to send her a reply PM.

I wish all puzzles were this easy to solve; it was frustrating for an hour then the lights came on. Happiness.

Blessings to all.

Bill

P.S. Jeff PA angler and Rick, I saw your messages as I was posting this one. Yes, your explanations are very helpful. I may just print them for future us. On the other hand, more practise with this would make good habits.
Thanks very much.
