strip some hen saddle fibers, measure (gap width past bend); tie in/trim
tie in tubing, wrap to tail (pull it tight while wrapping to cut down on bulk
tie in tinsel; wrap to 60% mark, tie off/trim
wrap tubing forward (first wrap under tension and lessening on progressive wraps creates a slight taper) to 60% mark; tie off/trim
