hook - Dai Riki 075 #12
thread - Danville 6/0 black
tail - golden pheasant tippets
rib - floss red
body - peacock herl
hackle - hen brown
wing - turkey

Part 1

mash barb, start thread, wrap to bend

measure (gap width past bend) some gp tippets; tie in/trim

tie in rib

tie in some peacock herl; wrap forward, tie off/trim

counterwrap rib; tie off/trim

Part 2

tie in hackle by tip; wrap, tie off/trim

stroke fibers down/back, cover with thread wraps

prep turkey quill segments (gap width); measure (tips to bend), fold over, tie in

trim butts, whip finish, SHHAN

pls, what do you mean by “fold over” in measure (tips to bend), fold over, tie in

are the two slips tented along the long axis? and just folded over at the tie in point?

Yes; stroked together, tented and folded along the hook axis (it’s a hand-intensive process and I come up one short for holding the camera so no pics). Here’s where I learned the winging procedure (starts at about 4:00 although the whole vid is worth watching)
