He was our governor. He was practically run out of town on a rail.
The inauguration of his replacement was unceremoniously rushed forward to keep him from selling freedom (pardons) to any more convicted murderers.
He ended up dying an impoverished, used car salesman.

I had forgotten about how long ago that was, some of the guys and girls where weren’t even born when that happened. My mentor and later boss was the head of Organized Crime for the TN Bureau of Investigation at the time. He was there when they locked Ray out of the capitol to inaugurate Alexander.
