my friend in idaho who’s a ff gear rep is sending a Regal standard rotary vise, gratis. should be tying by the end of next week (fingers crossed). i’ve been waiting more or less impatiently for 5+ months.

well kelkay a dog i am but far from lucky. i tied on regal back in the day. in fact i sold that original vise here 2 or 3 years ago but don’t remember to whom. i had 2 and when the first lost it’s gripping power i filed it until it made small hooks easier to mount and tie and bought another standard head. at that time a standard head had too much power for size 22/24 hooks and often crushed them. i never did use a regal as a true rotary but needed to flip flies often.
