Great New Forum

Love the paddling, not sure about hooking myself in a boat.
Then again I’m just the computer geek here.

Hey Folks,

There have been requests of late for a new forum on paddling. This

is the place to let us know how you’ve tricked out your Yak or what is
working in your canoe for you. Don’t be bashful, jump right in and start
voicing your opinions. The management has been listening.G Warm
regards, Jim

I…am…IN! 8)

Nice new forum to have. Should get a good bit of traffic once folks learn that it is here.
Mike

Great to see the update for the board, we were warned that changes were in order. Should all be for the better.

This Board is a great

My Thanks to JC,LF and you Jim Hatch, For taking on the mod. Responsablities

Missed seeing the addition of this board for my first two visits since the recunstruct!!!

Thanks for this forum I am sure it will be well used.

Eric

I’ll be checking this board. I have been actively kayak fishing for 30 years. So I may be able to answer questions on this subject. Down to 5 Kayaks now.

I have a 16 foot coleman canoe. So far I’ve used it only on still water. Any ideas about how this would handle a river with class 2 and 3 rapids? I have a place in Oregon on the N. Umpqua and would be interested to know what kind of trouble I could get into.
Gary

I’m loving this idea. Currently looking for a yak.

Hey Gary,

In response to whether or not your 16 foot coleman canoe will handle
class II or class III whitewater, the answer is yes.

Can you get in trouble in class II or class III rapids? Absolutely!
The power of moving water is awesome. In my opinion, it is very
important to learn whitewater techniques and rescue methods either
through one of the whitewater courses or perhaps a good club in your
state. We certainly don’t want to lose a charter member of our paddling
forum. Warm regards, Jim

Yes, this is great. Frankly, I can’t believe my eyes. That people like JC and LF can be so responsive is such a breath of fresh air. Thanks. JGW

Thanks for the tip Jim. I think that is excellent advice. I’ll do a little research to see what is available up there in the way of instruction.
