Great loss: Tony Accardo dies at 76

Please see this article at LaFlyFish. The state of Louisiana and warm water fly anglers everywhere have lost one of our greats:

Sorry to hear that. I certainly enjoy using his “Spook” on those 'gills and bass.
Thanks for letting us know, Roger.

It’s a great loss. Is there anyone fishing poppers that is not familiar with Tony’s name & products?

When I think of a popper I think of an Accardo popper, it set the standard for poppers and I try to base all the poppers I make on Tony’s. This is a sad day in fly fishing. Rest in Peace Mr. Accardo.

Lots of good tackle (from poppers to fly line dressing) from that company. I still use Accardo silicone fly line dressing and will continue to do so as long as they make it. It is saddening to hear the founder has passed away but it is heartening to know that the family will maintain the company.
