Green Butt Skunks will be in the mail Saturday. Please let me know when you get them.
Tried one out today with one hook up but lost a nice King.
Flies put in the mail today. Let me know when they arrive. Thanks for being the swapmeister.
Ridgeliner and scubatim,
I look forward to receiving your flies! This is the first time I’ve coordinated a swap, so hopefully I do alright. Thanks for joining and I can’t wait to see the great ties. I also have a question to everyone within the swap. I requested 12 flies and we only have 11 tiers. What is the consensus to do with the extra set? If you have any suggestions to donate the set to or a member that has contributed to FAOL I’d appreciate it!
Thanks!
Chris
do we have any spey fisherman in here. there is a spey swap going on. why dont any of you try it out. they dont have to be traditional or anything
Chris I don’t care what ya do with any extra flies, I say you keep them for hosting.
I don’t care what you do with the extras. You can keep them or if you want to donate them, do that. If you did donate them it would be nice to donate them to someone that was holding a raffle to promote fly fishing or stream improvement.
Steelieslayer - I received your Red Pheasant Wet flies and they look awesome! Can’t wait to get the rest in!
If anyone doesn’t object I am going to donate the extra set to Family Tyes (http://www.familytyes.com). I am attending a meeting on Oct 9th for my first time to check out being a mentor and would like to donate to them. They are having steelhead classes throughout the fall and maybe they can use them as templates or as an award.
Thanks guys!
Thats a great idea
Another great organiztion to donate to is Casting for Recovery which teaches Cancer survivors how to fly fish and need all the flies folks can send.

Chris
Wet Fly Guy, Kaboom1, Scubatim and Heritage Angler - Flies came in the mail today. Thanks for getting in on the action! We are almost ready to ship the fly sets out!
Heritage - after looking at the knapek hooks you tied on I think my will power is weltering and I may have to order a few pkgs despite the $$$.
Hi Chris - Before you break the ol’ piggy bank on those Knapek hooks, you might want to check out the Partridge Flashpoint series of hooks. The point is similar to the Knapek barbless design. If you go to the Somerset FF show in January, Dr. Fish will have them there to drool over - Mustad doesn’t sell the hooks there, but I found them scattered amongst the vendors. Sure wish more shops carried the Flashpoints - they’re awesome…Ed
