good informational books

Anyone know of some good informational books on flyfishing that are good for a beginner? Thanks.

Give us a little more information, what age beginner etc. What type of fish does the beginner target? etc.

The boy scout fly fishing merit badge pamphlet is written for 12 year olds, the Curtis creek manifesto is also interesting for younger fisher persons.

thanks everyone

p.s. an adult book is good

Sierrafly,
for a very first beginner, I think Essential Fly Fishing by Meade is great. After that I liked Trout Tactics by Joe Humphreys. I kept reading way beyond that, but those are the ones I read and then suggested to friends getting into it.

I would strongly recommend A. K. Best’s book called Fly Fishing With A. K. It’s an excellent read packed with great advice and lots of color pictures. Best of all, it’s only about $18 from Amazon. If you want some no nonsense advice from a real master of the sport, this is the book for you. 8T
