I walked two miles and did not see one fish. He blindly chucks a gold spoon and this happens…

Tried to clean up a cell phone shot of a turtle nest with fresh tracks leading from it. This was the best I could do…

Beautiful day for walk!

Manasota Key ?
You are close…
Doesn’t look like the Boca landscape, so Venice or Nokomis ?
It's no secret your flies couldn't catch snook on that stretch of beach & with the upcoming full moon they'll be on all the beaches. The rains will make it tough to sightfish though.
Only saw one fish yesterday. Despite east winds, the surf was up and the water was murky. I’ve only had one good outing this season, unfortunately.
Have a small “family reunion” to attend down in Sanibel this weekend… Hoping everything will cooperate!
Looks like a wash out for the week on sight fishing with the amount of rain that's forecast, but blind casting counts towards fishing time. Those little flashes in the surf might be worth casting to if you can't see the fish in the wave.....
I suspect I know that location, have you seen the monsters that lurk under the S.O.'s boat dock on Ski Alley?
No. If you get a chance, walk the “T.A.” drawbridge at night and check out all the fish that hang out there!
The snook under & on the edge of the lights in snook alley are a lot of fun, or those below the bait tanks at Palm Island are so well fed & huge that the regular #6 weight flyrod for summer beach snookin would be a probable loss.
