Nice fly! By any chance, is this a Michigan Fly? We have a Genesee County here.
Great looking tie as usual Scott.

Great looking fly. It could be a New York fly. The Genesee River is a tributary of Lake Ontario. But more important is that Genesee beer is brewed and bottled in New York.
Even more importantly, the Genesee was was the home waters of the late Mark Libertone, known on a number of forums as “Soft Hackle” and founder of the Flymph Forum. I believe this is one of his creations.
Redietz, entirely all too possible. A lot of places here in MI were named after places in NY.
I still have my Flymph pin on my fishing vest. On Hans page, Mark Libertone states he originated the Genesee Jewel to use on the Genesee River in late spring and summer.
The fly was the creation of Mark Libertone of New York, named after the Genesee River. I found it on the small Stream Reflections site
