These beasties were inspired by the humble Wooly Worm, but with a bit more attractive tail instead of a butt.

Hopefully youse can see those pics.
If there are not two or three copies of that post floating around. I’m still trying to figure out the new BBS. ![]()
The Wooly Worms were made on size 8 Eagle Claw baitholders that were on sale a long time ago. They don’t seem to be available in bulk as much as they used to be at the various discount places.
Nice buggers! I especially like the first one…I beleive that would pass for a helgramite in faster smallie waters!

I used to get all kinds of cheap hooks for panfish for those kind of plies at Walmart but around here they stopped selling anything under a 6 for the most part. The flies look good though, I’m sure they’ll fool whatever you intend to toss them at.
No kiddin’ man!
There was a time, what but a few years ago, that hooks were totally sold for cheep and worked great for various sizes from 8-2 wet.
I guess that times are changing, and I’m gonna’ have to deal with it.
I’m only looking forward to the time when things change for the good again, and I can get cool hooks for cheep once more. Too bad I didn’t stock up on the cool ones.
Looks like we the fly tiers are gonna’ have to come up with some really great creations in this “era” ![]()
