I will be in the Ft. Myers area during Feb next year. What kinds of Wade/Kayak accessible fishing is close by that time of the year. Have done some Saltwater in OBX and am interested in wade fishing opportunities. Wife says I’ll limited to my kayak.
Pine Island, Pine Island, Pine Island!! Reds, trout, jacks, blues…
ooops…check out Mark’s website…

By the way. If you can’t make it to Pine Island as Dude suggests. You really ought to try Pine Island instead.
Check out Ding Darling park on Sanibel Island. Some walk oppertunities there. Better w/ the yak.
There is some good yak ffing, at the 1st bay just inside thr river from the Punta Rassa boat ramp at the foot of the Sanibel Causeway (on the Ft Myers side).
Decent trout wade on the inside side of the middle span of the Sanibel Causeway in Feb.
In Naples, check out Clam Pass park. It’s good for a walk for back country dink snook ffing.
Check out Wiggins Pass park in the back country for some decent yak ffing in Feb.
BTW FlatsDude, I checked out Mark’s pic post on his website. Seems like a nice guy, but I think he’s cornered the market on dink snook.
BadSnook…I met Mark by accident a few months ago. Spoke with him on the phone…hell of a nice man and is will to suggest places to fish from the “out of town” group.
Check the Fort Myers newspaper, The NewsPress sports section on Fridays for fishing reports from the area that week! You also might want to look at the Charlotte Sun newspapers Waterline magazine that is published every Thursday @ [url=http://www.fishingandboating.com:01af0]http://www.fishingandboating.com[/url:01af0] for Charlotte Harbor information.
