From Argentina

Hi guys:

Our flyfishing season in Patagonia Argentina is fantastic this year. Good level of waters in the rivers thanks to the abundance of snow during the past winter. The big browns that come from the glacial lakes are now in the streams and fat rainbows are everywhere! Best dries now: Big EHCaddis in grey and brown, Top streamers: Olive Matukas and small Marabou Muddlers. Nymphs: #8-6 stoneflies in black.
Hope to see you soon in the river.
Good luck!

Bastage!

Hmm, perhaps a fish-in in Argentina…

RF,

What happened with the airline strike? Still going on?

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I’m leading a group from the shop to the San Martin de Los Andes area on March 4th, this will be my fourth trip there.

If I did not have grandkids here, I would sell the shop and move down there tomorrow. A week's worth of guided fishing, lodging, air, etc is still cheaper than a comparable trip to Montana....and no crowds!

We fished the last two years and saw only one other boat! If the Chimehuine river were in Montana, there would be a parade of drift boats and the browns are such fools for Copper Johns....(or Copper Juans)

It is good to see that you are still around. I have missed seeing you, amigo!

man, that would be a dream come true, to go to Patagonia and fish!

Maybe we’ll see an article or series just to whet the appetites?
