Free Dyed Mallard Flank ......

i went duck hunting last week for the first time and loved it! In addition, I got some mallard flank. I have dyed this with purple onion skins and they came out looking good. They are a pretty good imitation of the woodduck feather. Excellent for tails, legs, bird’s nest etc. If you would like a bag, please respond to this thread and pm me your address. I’ll put them in an envelope and mail them to you. First five people to respond will receive the feathers.

Thanks,
Greg

I would be honored to have a few of those feathers!
Thank you for the very kind offer!
PM to be sent shortly.

Everyone who has responded will have some mallard flank sent to them. Thanks for the replies. The limit has been reached at this point. Longhorn Flyer, Harleybob87, Fatman, AlexL, and Dsaavedra, I should get these in the mail by Saturday. Enjoy, and have fun tying.

Very nice of you,gqualls

yes indeed thank you very much!

and for those “not very informed in dying” (for lack of better word) such as I, although the feathers are dyed in purple onion skins, they are a lemon yellow color, suprisingly not purple as i had thought  .

But do they go well in spaghetti sauce??
Once again, thanks gqualls

Your’e welcome, Longhorn flyer. I’ve used the dyed mallard flanks for alot of things and I’m happy to share some extras. Someone on this board, I believe it was RonT, told me this was a good substitute for the wood duck feather. I’d have to agree. Surprisingly, the feathers have no onion smell whatsoever. Hope ya’ll like them.

Greg

Thank you so very much I really appriciate it. Hope some day I can return the favor

Thanks again
