The Southern Wisconsin Chapter of TU is giving a free beginner?s course in fly tying. The course guide is an excellent free guide for beginners with a pattern list of basic flies. They also have a list of basic tools and materials. Since the course provides all fly materials, there is no list of basic pattern materials other than thread. These PDFs will be up for a short time. I suggest that anyone interested in fly tying download the PDFs.

I download the pdf on each and will be sending them to the grandpa of a youngster who I sent a vise, small tying desk and some essentials. Hopefully, these will help him along.
Thanks and Merry Christmas! From me and my friend.
Uncle Jesse, I didn’t know that you have a beard;)
Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I have on occasion had a white beard, not as full as my friend there. That is a gentleman who lives in Lawrenceville I have come to know. He’s is the Santa you hear on Channel 5 Christmas Eve. He does appearances for a nice fee and encouraged me to do the same but I haven’t yet.
