Good evening all. I am going to be spending some time in Nashville, TN next week, and was wondering if anyone knows of a good fly shop in/around the metro area.
Thanks,
Jeff

There’s only one “real” fly shop in Nashville. Fly South. (615) 251-6199
Great guys and I always stop in when I’m in town. Really cool shop and the guys are always helpful and never stand-offish. Just got a new rod from them the other day. Now I just gotta use it.
There is also “Cumberland Transit”. Google search them for the address Great bunch, “grumpy” just has to work on his people skills a bit. If you get down south of them there is Tim’s Fly’s and LIes in Lynchburg. But since there are no trout in the Elk River you don’t want to go there!
Both of those shops are good places to get a lot of information, and materials, etc.
If you want the button-down collar crowd, go to Fly South.
If you want the scruffy, trout bum crowd, Cumberland Transit has become the place.
If you want the mass market and observe-the-social-phenomenon crowd, Bass Pro is the place.
I hit all of them, “occasionally”. (i.e. if I miss more than 2 weeks, they ask if I’ve been sick…)

People skills are over-rated, Grumpy rocks. That being said though, the fly selection at Fly South is very nice… go to both.
