Fly of the Week Needed

Fly Tyers,

I need some patterns for the fly of the week column. So if you have something that you think is special and you would like to share with the readers of FAOL send it to me.

The Chronicler

Neil -

I’ve been planning to do articles on the FEB October Caddis from last fall and the new FEB Skwala that has been fishing well the past couple weeks, but I’ve been so busy tying flies for fishing and fishing I haven’t had time to get the write up done and take the pix.

Maybe if we get some really dismal weather I can get them to you in the next week or two.

John

Update - both are in the (e)mail as of this afternoon.

I would be glad to oblige. I attempted to send you the info and Video Tying Tutorials of two of my patterns to the e-mail addy you posted, and it came back as delivery failure. I also left a message on your PM.

Working on a “Woolly Bear” fly pattern for FAOL’s “Fly Of The Week”

There are Woolly Worm and Woolly Buggar fly patterns, but I have never found a “Woolly Bear” til lately when I went searching on the internet to find out was a Woolly Bear was.

Sorry, meant to say size. Similar to the one by Skip Morris at

My thread right below this one, entitled “Cicada event” had a response that took me to a great SBS that might be appropriate for a FOTW at this particular time. I have no idea what is involved in getting any kind of approval to use it. Keep up the great work.
