Fly fishing's final frontier

Fly-Fishing’s Final Frontier
By Geoff Bernardo

While much of the time expended by fly fishers is directed at the species of fish that are considered more glamorous; trout, steelhead, salmon, bonefish, and permit, there are many other fish that provide angling opportunities for fly rod anglers. This recent book by Geoff Bernardo highlights many of the lesser known targets that are available for fly fishers.

This is a large, 8½ x 11, hard cover book. The author, Geoff Bernardo, died before this book could be published and it’s a fitting memorial to his dedication to this aspect of the sport. The book is lavishly illustrated with excellent illustrations of the various species of fish drawn by Wally Edwards. Each species of fish is given excellent coverage complete with suggested fly patterns for each species.

If you are interested in expanding your fly fishing horizons by pursuing new fish species with a fly rod this book offers a bounty of information to help you in your pursuit.
