Fly fishing rocky mountain national park

This is not really a “fly fishing” video except all the angling scenes show people fly fishing in the various waters that are covered in the video. The producer, Josh Rickard, told me that he was trying to produce a video about the angling possibilities that are found in Rocky Mountain National Park.

The video shows several lakes and streams located in the Park, and each place that is shown is named, and includes the location and something about the fish that you would find there. [There is one secret spot that is not named] The scenery is spectacular with towering mountains, pine shrouded trails and lush mountain meadows.

The video has a strong conservation method. Rocky Mountain National Park is very heavily used and it is essential that the “leave not trace” philosophy is followed. In the producers own words, “I tried to capture the experience that you have when you fish the Park. I also want to make sure that it is saved for future anglers, and tried to incorporate the message in a what that people might actually listen.”

The video can be purchased at the producer’s website at www.rockymountainflyfisher.com, Amazon, and from some fly shops.
