Florida maps?

Hey, how’s everyone doin? I’m another new member, comin from southern florida in the Ft. Lauderdale area. I’ve fished plenty of places around here for a little bit, and am in search of some new spots. By chance, would anyone happen to know of some place, online or in the real world, of where I could find some kinda map? I’ve got a free mornin tomorrow, and wanna take advantage of it an go stick wavin.
I’ve heard about the man-made lakes just west of the Ft. Lauderdale airport. Anyone know about it? It sounds interresting.
Any and all help would be aprediated. Thank you.
Tight lines!

Hi FF,

I’m north of you up in Highlands County where Lake Istokpoga is and just northwest of Lake Okeechobee. Welcome and be sure to drop on over to the Warmwater Forum. Don’t know any maps from that area but you might check out the maps available from the South Florida Water Management District web-site. The SFWMD runs most of the canals and locks from Istokpoga down to Okeechobee as well as the waters in your area. Best of luck.

Hey there FF’
First of all an "un"officail welcome to this here place.
As far as your question. You can download a real cool site called Google Earth. It’s a topographical pictorial of the earth. If you know the FAA letter designation of the Ft. Lauderdale airport, this site will zoom you to the general area and you can navigate in any direction from there. There is a tab where it will also show the roads and their numbers or names. It won’t ,however, show you names of lakes etc, but it will actually show you a topo picture of them. You can then zoom in or out to orientate yourself.
Go to the Google home page and type in Google Earth. Lotsa fun too.
