Went out to a pond and got 15 gills and 9 crappie. Lost several crappie that were lip hooked.
Not sure if it was fly fishing. Caught the first one when I cast out and started reeling the line in to change rods. When the crappie took the fly I repeated it. They seemed to be coming out from under algae patches and hitting the fly that was just a few inches under water.
