Fishing a slow pool in small river question

I have access to the Paluxy River in Glen Rose Texas. it is a small stream with riffles and pools. At my access a pool that is 7 feet deep and wide is fed by a small riffle and the pool is drained 200 feed down by a similar riffle.

Bass are in the hole. Some are Big(3#). Do I fish this like a pond? There are undercut banks on one side but the flow is so slow that difting seems pointless.

If you can see them, they can see you. Looks like stealth will be your key to sucess. I have a similar situation on a farm pond here in Michigan. I like to have the sun at my back. The trick is not to cast a shadow on the fish. Try a clouser crawdad and let it sink to the bottom, wait, then slowly retrieve the fly upwards. Good luck, Jonezee

consider fishing upstream, thru the pool and then into the base of the riffle. Might just work.
