First Cast Of 2010 Season?

What will be on the end of your line? Where will you go and why?

That 20 inch brookie has been haunting me all winter.

this area is very remote. It is near the head water. There is a mixture of brooks and browns here. The are really big brookies in the area and the bigger population of brooks than browns has all the earmarks for a potential HUGE tiger.

Season? What is this season thing of which you speak?

Already been on January 23rd. Fished a spring at Lake Tumblesom up by Ward, Colorado with a Tumblesome Special on the end of the line. Got some hits but no real takes. It was cold, windy, and miserable, but it was fishing.

Len, there you go with that ‘season’ thing again:rolleyes:. I’m with Kevin, for me the ‘season’ starts when I first get out, and this year has been a bad one due to being on the mend from surgery. I did finally get out a couple of weeks ago, hoping for one of these on the end of my line:

But ending up with a bunch of these:

But, whose complaining? At least I got out and it was a blast! Did you ever hear the old addage “A watched pot never boils”? I hope you survive with sanity intact by the time your season rolls around;). Thanks for the posts to help feed my addiction and keep my sanity on the safer side.

Then season will be one week away.

Curse you, Len, curse you!!! Just kidding, but it appears that should take your mind off of opening day for a little bit - have fun and remember us popcicles in east Idaho:cool:

I’m gearing up for a Spring Creek strategies presentation at my local chapter of TU and FFF, and then three tying expos in Utah, Idaho, and Washington. Can’t wait. Hope you’re going to get some time to fish the salt while you’re working on your tan.

vacation and fishing

wife says the two words don’t go together.

I only got to fish once on vacation. She was not happy.

We have an all inclusive.
I will be working on my tan and trying to gain back the 20 pounds I have lost.

Hey, here’s a deal for you - Let me go along and I’ll give you - for FREE - the twenty pounds I need to lose. Sounds fair, doesn’t it;). Have a great time, and remember all of us shivering as we await the big thaw. Curse you, Len, curse you…!
