Guess what the UPS driver dropped off today !!! Got my rod … felt like a kid at x-mas unwrapping it … had to put a reel on it and give it a cast or two … nice … very nice … think i could like the finer things in life … have to get the wife to take a second job to support the habit. I spent a couple hundred dollars at the local bait and tackle shop last week. He had to order things. There is not a lot of fly guys around here. I’m expecting a call this morning. I feel like it’s x-mas morning. Just to think, 20 years ago, I’ld spend $200 in one evening on white powder and naked dancers. It’s a wonder I didn’t self destruct. I’m loving my 2nd chance.
