They stocked today, not as many as the site says, but they did.
They were hitting anything darting across their field of vision.
Some I did get on a copper john. I even hooked one of the 4 pounders on one, but he got off and took the fly. http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff111/Panfisha/P3260186.jpg
After a while at our closest stretch, we went down the road to the bridge. Other fisherman were there, so we went down. Guy told my friend to cast over here, led him onto a golden trout.
It was raining pretty hard by now, glad I wore my rain jacket. Started nymphing a copper john, got a take by the 4lber. Kept nymphing the same log, got a few more catches on it.
Water was cold, but the light rain let the fish cruise the open safely.
We caught them on buggers and yuk bugs jerked and twitched, and nymphs drifted.
Got to go out again today. Water was a bit murky from the rains. The fish were scattered, hiding, or gone from other anglers earlier in the day. There musta been 4 other guys at our stretch, and 8 farther downstream at the road.
Got 5 today, on bead head buggers jerked in fast. Even a fat 18 incher, but when I had him in the net for the photo, he wriggled his way out and into the water. http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff111/Panfisha/P3270194.jpg
Even saw 2 odd stone flies (think they’re stones) on a tree.
And then when casting a bead head olive bugger to a fallen tree, I got a strike, set the hook, only to have my fly jump out of the water and wrap around a branch. The branch broke off and I got my fly, but when I look at it, there were scales on the hook!:o
