Finally off on my fishing trip

About the worst part of my trip…getting there.
Half hour flight to Honolulu; 1 1/2 hour layover; and then a 6+ hour flight to Salt Lake City; then a 5 hour drive to Last Chsnce and the upper Henry’s Fork. Pretty excited.

Good luck Byron! Enjoy!

Don’t forget to post a report. Have a great time, Byron.

Have fun. Make sure you get some rest on the 9 hour flight.

Until my son joins me, I’m staying at Mack’s Inn above Island Park Reservoir. Rested up and will fish the Ranch in the morning…

Crisp weather here. Cold nights

Enjoy Byron!

How some folks get here. This is on the back porch of the Trouthunter on the Henry’s Fork. Note craft near the river on the right

Typical rainbows I was catching on my Flav imitation this morning

Pricey, but beautifully tied. Now $3.95 per.

One of a number of fish like this today on the Fork

I’m jealous, enjoy your trip!

Keep the report and the pictures coming, Byron. Enjoy reading about your adventure.

Drove into the Park yesterday morning to fish the Firehole. It was very windy, but swinging a soft hackle worked.
Not sure if they show, but took the obligatory picture of some elk who crossed the road.

One of my favorite sections of the Fork, below Ashton

Beautiful pics! Keep 'em coming please!

Just above Railroad Ranch looking upstream into Last Chance and Trouthunter and Lawson’s Henry’s Fork Anglers

Almost everywhere you go, you see them in the distance

Enjoying the updates Byron, keep them coming! Hope the fishing and weather is good for you

Part of the fly selection at TroutHunter

Very light bug activity yesterday, but kept at it and was rewarded
Tried my X/Caddis with a bit of pearl UV dub and it worked.
