FCCH's article

I love reading Chris’s articles, this one was great, don’t think I have ever read an article from a dog’s point of view, it would seem that it would be hard to type with paws. I also look forward to the pictures, what scenery, it looks very peaceful, and from the dog’s description it seems very peaceful. Keep em coming.

A bum-legged old man and a drunk. That’s all you got?
That’s WHAT I got.

Type with paws… That dog has got so much class I bet he just dictated it and mad Chris do the typeing.

No problem seeing who’s CEO of that family…G

RG/AR,

Oh ya, … He’s King around here. Askes for the door, … gets the door, … Asks to some back in, … he comes back in.

Wants food, … gets food.

Wants to sleep on the couch, … we move over to make room.

Never ending cycle.

On the other hand, it looks like you could comb some blue dun dubbing out of him… You scratch his back and ummm, he’ll give you some dubbing?
He is cute pup. Those eyes tell of a lot of personality.

Ed,

Oh we have tyed flies from his fur. Lots of gradients in shades from white to dark grey. No real guard hairs, … so only dubbing.

Years ago I had a collie that I combed often. I always wanted to use that hair for nymphs, but she always sniffed every little whisp of her hair that wasn’t on her. I was afraid that she would end up hooking herself and I never did tie any of those nymphs. Right now I have my sister’s Sheltie until she gets settled from Katrina. I have a nice, zip-lock bagful of sable-colored Sheltie hair to use later on. I keep looking at his white ruff and thinking about streamers… But I have been expressly forbidden. My sister knows me too well.

Ed,

I used to have Huskies, … they had wonderful guard hairs for streamers!

I suppose the Sheltie would be even BETTER as the hairs would work and wiggle more in the current.

Just got around to reading your article Chris. Very welldone. That was priceless. It was a great way to start a morning.

Take care everyone and cya around. Mark

Oh Kenny is just in a state today.

After spending almost 2/3 of the last 3-4 weeks on the river, we took time off today (even though it’s probably the nicest day here since 3 weeks ) … to do some house keeping, re-organize the fly boxes and sweep out the pickup.

Tyed up a dozen flies this morning that were starting to be missin’ from the boxes too.

The Dawg saw all the gear layed out on the deck to dry out some. He keeps jumpin’ in and out of the truck, … wondering how come we aren’t joining him and taking off

We’ll hit the river big time in the next two weeks as the season ends the 15th of oct

I’ll finally then get some time to catch up on the journal, the boards and some articles.

Chris,
You know what his problem is?

I was like that after the first time I was published, too. Slobberin’, jumpin’ around, chasin’ my tail… well maybe not chasin’ my tail… but, I was awful excited.
He’ll settle when he gets over his moment in the spotlight.

There’s almost nothin’ wrong with the first lie, it’s the weight of all the others holdin’ it up that gets ya’! - Tim

Tim, … LoL!!!

(late reply, … the office is starting to cut into my fishing time )

The weird part is … Kenny just thought EVERYONE fished like that. Relaxed and enjoying nature.

He met some folks the other week who were pretty well in the C&BBQ types … Pretty insulted when they didn’t catch anything over 6 inches.

Then he met another group the following week. They had a BLAST, … Enjoyed the sun (and wind), … marvelled at the colours of the trout that were chasing the flies (woolies) as well as the fall colours. We had to remind them to cast every now and again as they stared at the clolours of the maples and aspens quacking in the breeze.

We’re off again friday night for a 3 day run on the river, … Camped out in a different spot. …

(big pool - Ste-Marguerite Rv)
He’ll do a river report when he gets back …
