Elk River (TN) Access at Hwy 50 Bridge lost until July

According to TDOT, this bridge is being repaired/replaced with the access to the parking lot at the bridge closed until the end of June. This leaves Ferris Creek as the main access point for this tail water. I suggest that plans to use the parking lot be considered tentative for at least a couple of minths after that, to allow for delays.

Now some locals are reporting that the parking lot has been open and available for the last few days. I invite our locals to chime in. I am still inclined towards caution before making any long trip to fish the Elk just below the dam.
