Duck/goose skin

I am looking for a duck or goose pelt (one that is legal to have).I am a beginner fly tyer and need more materials.

There several wood duck and mallard skins on ebay right now.

I don’t skin them (too much fat to deal with). Let me know if you are interested in the flanks, and “cape” area feathers, and I will let you know when I get some more.

don’t worry so much about skins from a goose. get some quills, primary and secondary, and shoulder.

i forgot tom. get wing feathers from each wing so you’ll have matching pairs for tying wings.

Okay I have a male mallard on the way possibly from a hunter friend.
i’ll skin it and dry it out.

I don’t know, but I have some this year. I figure that if duck flank works for some dries, white goose might make good wings on royal wulff.

sounds interesting. i guess you can tell i don’t tie many feather winged dries. if they’re large enough maybe a sub for heron on spey patterns.
