Dubbing wax

In trying to find a source for a moustache comb for cleaning out the under fur from clumps of hair I asked my barber.
He supplied me with a Clubman Moustache Wax kit that contained a nice little combination comb/brush plus a tube of moustache wax. Wow, what neat stuff. I have yet to try it but it is the most sticky wax I’ve ever seen.
Has anyone else tried this?

Hey, if it works on the hair on your lip, it ought to work on the hair on your hook!

I don’t use wax. What I do use though is spider tap glue. I cut a piece out of a gallon jug of milk in a nice rectangle. I take a toothpick and remove some glue and apply to the piece I just cut out. Once I put a nice amount of glue on I take and staple the back part off. Now you just run the thread between thetwo pieces with the glue and sticky won’t slide a bit. Makes a nice tight dubbing that won’t slide.

The wax should not melt in the heat so keep that in mind when looking for wax. I would think the moustach wax would be good if you wear it on your face. Nothing worst than wax running down your cheeks.
