Don Bastian Video

Mantis - thanks for the suggestion. I mentioned today on another post, different topic that I’m relatively new at the internet and FAOL. I did e-mail the editors yesterday about sending a complimentary copy of my DVD and having them do a review. They said, sure. I already have the reply with address, etc.
My earlier post mentioned a review in the upcoming summer issue of Fly Tyer magazine. Dave Klausmeyer also told me that he was going to use one of my flies (not sure which one) on the cover. I hope it is on the cover of the same issue with the review. That will certainly hook up the jumper cables.

I like what Buffalo Bill says when people ask if he can tie married wings. He replies, “I been married and divorced three times. I can’t marry anything.”

Buffy will be riding down to 7 Springs with me along with Tim Wohland. Ought to be a good time. Still think the contest this year should be with your flies…make mine a Trout fin!!! LOL…Wonder if 2Dogs and Mylar are coming this year…Cya

Mantis -

I heard that. I’ll be sure to wear clean underwear.

Where to buy Don Bastian DVD.

I posted this message on Andy B’s topic this morning. I feel I should make this clear. Some of the fellows on FAOL have been buying my DVD at Amazon.com. This company does not purchase DVD’s from me.
I mentioned this the other day, but found out the details this morning.

Don Bastian DVD’s ordered at Amazon.com are shipped from the stock of FishUSA.com. My good friend and sometime fishing partner, Eric Lyle, works at FishUSA.com.

FishUSA.com has to pay Amazon.com a COMMISSION of 15% for each Don Bastian DVD sold.

I say, we Americans have been losing far too much in the way of sales & good paying jobs to big, global, conglomerates like Walmart, Amazon.com, etc.

I would prefer we fly tiers support our local and regional businesses. Please buy my DVD at FishUSA.com, a small, locally owned company right here in my home state of Pennsylvania.

Also available at the following fly shops and locally owned businesses.
