Does anyone know of a good source for hooks?

I am looking for hooks, quantities to vary depending on style and size. Where is there a good source?

I guess it depends on the quantity and brand.
Hook & Hackle is a good source as is Cabela’s.

My tying area. I keep buying hooks and forgetting I have that size until I get home. I probably have more hooks than alot of fly shops out there.

Seriously, I’d agree, H&H. Also, K&K Flyfishers. They carry a TON of stuff, tying stuff is not yet online though. Give them a call and request a catalog at

I’ve been very happy with Hook and Hackle’s prices and service. I’ve ordered lots of hooks in different styles and sizes and seldom had to go on back order for anything. 8T

You had better learn to be a happy camper. You only get one try at this campground and it’s a real short camping season.

Yep. Hook and Hackle for sure. I’ve buying stuff from them for over 20 years.

Are you talking wholesale and quainity? You might like to tell us what you are talking about as far as quainity? If it’s a thousand of a size I can give you a good place to get them for a heck of a price. Ron

BL,

Canadian Llama Company just started selling Daiichi hooks at around $10 per 100. Very good price for premium hooks. They are also a great source for affordable brass/tungsten beads, if you are in the market: [url=http://www.canadianllama.com/:c9872]http://www.canadianllama.com/[/url:c9872]

I use Daiichi and buy them from Lines End:

Great selection, great service, full selection and free freight on USA orders over $50. They are also presently closing out their Dai-Riki hooks and they have great prices on those as well.

JC,

At the hardware store alongside fly paper.

Thanks for all the great input. Now all I have to do is determine my budget, which I wish was larger, and then decide which hooks I want to purchase within that budget to match the ties that I plan to do. Thanks gang, you’re the best.
