Dingo Vise

I received my new Dingo Vise yesterday from Peter Rodgers from the land down under and although I only had time to tie a couple flies it is one beautiful, and extreamly well designed and contructed tool. It runs circles around every other vise I have seen or tried. It is up there in price, but quality through and through. When you think about the cost though and weigh the amount of time you use it vs those expensive rods and reels we all buy, to me the cost becomes negated. After I use it for awhile I will try and post a full review, but anyone in the market for a quality vise do yourself a favor and contact Peter. It arrived 10 days after placing the order and that included a holiday.

I was interested in the Dingo a few months ago. I couldn’t get through to the website(Australia?) anything icw it on my dial up ISP. How can one go there…to see info…(I’ve seen the vice in pics…sweet) and what the cost?
Jim

Hi Jim I got the pedestal model and it comes with the provisions of using it as a MKI or a MKII model the II being the totally rotatable version. It also comes with the bobbin attachment the parachute attachment, the larger set of jaws and the allen wrench to do all the adjusting. I cannot come close to doing justice in words the the quality of Peter’s machining that goes into this great tool I paid under 600 including the shipping costs to Connecticut and the case. If able to do a side by side against the Renzetti masters series you would be amazed of how much better the tolerances are maintained in Peter’s work. I assure you you won’t be disappointed. Tell him I recommended you and maybe he will give you a break. especially as we pass the word around for him.

Gary

I have enjoyed my Dingo.
It is an extremely well made piece of equipment and a pleasure to tye on. My daughter and I often fight over it.

garsays,
600…as in $600.00 US dollars???

“I’ve often wondered why it is that so many anglers spend so much money on,and pay so much attention to.the details on the wrong end of the fly line.If they took as much care in selecting or tying their flies as they did in the selection of the reel and rod,They might be able to gain the real extra edge that makes it possible to fool a fish that has,in fact, seen it all before” A.K.Best

“Wish ya great fishing”

Bill

Hi yeou s 600 American but that includes the shipping. When you look at a side by side comparrison with the Rezetti Masters which with tax the Renzetti is more and the Dingo is hands down a better vise.
