Has anyone had success with catching walleyes on the Fox River in Depere during the spring run. I plan to go and could use some guidance. I have a 8 wt, sink tip line and heavy leader. I am mostly unsure about presentation and what to throw. Should I strip, or dead drift. Any suggestions? what has worked for you?

I haven’t fished there, but around here in the reserviors I’ve had fairly good luck using the crystal muddler that I put in the fotw section a few weeks ago. I generally strip it in. In one afternoon late last year I must have caught 7 or 8 in a row off of one little rock pile. I would also try some clousers tied in some of the popular rapala colors, and don’t forget to put some flash in them too.
