When I first started down the slippery slope into fly fishing I didn’t do much fly tying. When I was not tying too many flies the little packages of “pre-sized” hackle feathers served me OK. Now that I’m tying a lot more I got tired of never having the correct size hackle feathers. Had some money burning a hole in my pocket so decided to get some capes from Conranch. They came today. Can’t wait to get to the tying bench and try them out.

My main reason for posting is to brag up the OUTSTANDING SERVICE from Conranch. The prices are good. The quality is good. But the customer service was GREAT! Denny kept me posted on the status of my order every step of the way and I got my capes much faster than I expected.

Could not agree with you more. Years ago I emailed Denny about feather suggestions for soft hackle flies I was wanting to tie. He suggested JV Hens. Long story short I went with his suggestion and he asked for my mailing address. I asked if he liked to be paid first and he replied “let the feathers and check pass by each other in the mail.”
