Has anyone fished clark’s creek in Pa lately? If so so are they hitting on?
Fished Clarks three times this past week. Temp was 63 to 65 depending where I checked it. Lots of fish in open sections of creek and of course sp reg is loaded. Beetles ( mostly deer hair japanese) and ants ( size 18 spun fur bodies in black or cream ) worked real well. Size 16 little yellow sallies while very few seen coming off were taken well by the fish. And as usual plenty of tiny midges were being slurped up.
Thanks Dry Fly Guy for the reply, any big ones? I might try there this week.
No size to mention this week last week had one about 20 maybe a nudge under on a beetle. Have said hello to a few this year. All released and in most cases still there.

Well, I see your still throwing that “trash” at those fish. When you go out with that ole guy later this week, make sure he doesn’t beat you to the fish. He likes those picket pins.
Myself and wet went out about two weeks ago to clarks and caught a few. The flood did some damage. I’ll have to get back out soon. BTW, I saw the “sign” on the tree and had to take a pic. I’m still laughing about it. :lol: :lol:
Jkilroy, let me know when you’re going out and I might be persuaded to head out too. I usually start across from the shooting range.

DFG which end did you take the temp. with, he he . white fly on at millerburg. fish sunday had about 12 but all small. good to see there still there. flyman 3

Next time your out, got a good recipe for some dynamite green weenies! Matt is still pestering the bass and sunnies. No trout down our way other than sea trout. Gonna do a run up on the Gunpowder next week, catch some real fish on floating flies - in your honor

Well flyman I certainly didnt chuck the whole digatil theremometer in the creek. Yes to all, it has dried out and is again working fine. For some reason it hides when it thinks flyman might be approaching,
Mike and Mark-- was great fishing with and meeting both of you. Certainly hope we can do it again next year. Fished the Kettle this past Thurs. For time of year had an unbelievable time. Think this streram is finally taking a shine to me. Weds. we took quick shots on Spruce ( still has the prettiest native browns I find anywhere) Little J. and Spring. Execpt for Spring the streams where all friendly. Ran into George Harvey on Spring Creek. He was just spectating but was a definate treat.
