Anybody know how to get back on this forum? Their home page says it has changed hands but there is no link that I can find to get on the forum. It used to be called Clark’s Classic Flyrod Forum and apparently still is but is now owned by Whitefish Press. The home page still looks similar but there is no link to the forum.
I’m pretty sure that Clarks was one of those Yuku message boards. A lot of them jumped ship. I know that Ultralight Fly Fishing and the fiberglass one changed locations as well.
Does anyone have links to these new boards? There was an e-mail contact on the fiberglass board but I saw no contact info on the ultralight board. Wonder if the warmwater flyfishing board will leave YUKU also. Which brings up the question-why is everone leaving Yuku?
Here you go Dave… http://ultralightflyfishing.com/forum/ It sounds like everyone is leaving because YUKU is having financial problems and the future doesn’t look very good. At least, thats what the admins over on ULF have to say about the situation.
If you try to log in under your old username and password it won’t work. And unless you made the switch with the Boards, you may have been purged as a member. That is especially true if you hadn’t posted in awhile.
To regain access, you’ll need to email the owner/admin. Each of the Boards have a “banner”, “notice”, whatever you want to call it, right under the “logo”/image providing the necessary instructions.
Not sure which Board you are referring to, but in two of the three above, the members will hand you a Teddy Bear. In the other… you’re more likely just to get a pat on the back.
I was referring to the classicflyrodforum. I put up a little introduction post in the appropriate place and for two weeks no one responded, but there were plenty of views. I sent the moderators a response telling them how un-welcomed I felt there (having mentioned I came as a member of the fiberglass flyrodders board) and suddenly I have a response to my original intro post. If you don’t come in willing to worship the bamboo Gods, then you may just have a similar experience.
