Chico Creek Fishing Access

I spoke with Ray Frederick, of the Bremerton Pogie Club this evening. Representatives of
his group meet with the property owner who posted the No Trespassing signs and worked
out an arrangement with him. The Club, working with Sportsmen Warehouse will post No
Littering signs and there will be trash receptables along the creek which will be emptied by the club.

The Chum run could happen any day now, and we
tip the FAOL hat to Ray and his group for keeping this important access open and available to all fishermen.

All fishermen should respect this, and not leave anything behind…except footprints.

We checked Chico this afternoon, saw 2 fish above the ‘bridge’ there were a half dozen people fishing at the mouth of the creek and one boat.

Plenty of water in the creek, but a nice rain will bring the fish in.

Report from Al Roberts (searun) at the Creek, the signs are down, and he did see a few fish in the creek. A call from Henry at the Pogie Club to let me know the trash recepticles will be in place tomorrow and the state F&W will post signs on the creek where fishing is not allowed. Progress!

Go Fish!

The Chum have arrived with this rain. We will try and make it there on Monday. (Have to stay here and get the new issue up over the weekend.) Go Fish!

The previous report of the No Traspassing signs being gone was untrue. They are still there as of today (Saturday). The Pogie Club folks told me today they will be removed, the steel posts for the new signs will be installed Sunday. A few fish in the creek, but not big numbers at all yet. Saw a total of six people when we walked down, all fly fishers. As we left 2 were walking in, spin fishers.
