Cheapskate's Club

Hey Folks,

Took the wife on our weekly “junking”
trip today. We hit all 6 of the Goodwill
and Salvation Army stores in the area. I
probably saw 7 or 8 desks including a roll
top for under 50 bucks that would make
great tying benches. I also picked up a
bunch of foam for my dremel bugs. A huge
kids puzzel consisting of 40 interlocking
8"x8" 5/8 inch thick foam in every color of
the rainbow. Should keep me in foam for
the next 10 years for $2.00. Also got some
Kooshball toys for a buck that will handle
my fly legs in every color for years to
come. Saw some fur collars for $2 but I
still have plenty from a previous trip.
I also picked up over $100 of books from
some of my favorite authors. New or lightly
read for $.25 each. Had a nice lunch with
the wife and still got home with a nice
jingle in my jeans.G Don’t forget the
junk stores for some of your tying goodies.
I recently picked up a brand new unused
captains chair that works on my boat for
$30. Still had the stickers on it. I looked it up on line and it retailed for
$260. Warm regards, Jim

How about Blue Jay feathers, etc… I thought that feather possession laws only applied to birds of prey.
Ed

If the feather is laying on the ground and NOT attatched to the bird it is classified as a shed per IL dept of Nat Resourses.Road kill in IL is possessable after calling IDNR for permit. They said keep da duck it is not worth the permit (buried duck after some feather removal. All perfectly legal.( i was worried so I called)
We have people with police scanners that listen for Deer Strike calls and then RUN to the scene to claim the deer if motorist doesn’t want it and we get ALOT of deer stike.

For got to mention my current projects Cheap is cheap found a throw away hand cart for golf converting it to a dolly to tote my canoe to the water cost free bungie cords to hold it on with $3
