Caught White and yellow bass !!!!

Fished below a local dam yesterday and caught, missed or lost a fish on almost every cast for about 2 hours. Then caught one about every 4-6 casts after that. Most were 6-7 inch yellow bass. Pobably around 20 where white bass that would push a pound and a half. Landed one hybrid bass that would go 4 pounds. All in all well over a hundred fish. Caught them on a 5wt and white wooly buggers and mylar minnnows. Was wanting to try some white sliders or poppers but didn’t have any. Fun, Fun, Fun. Thought I’d share since I haven’t shared in a while. Good luck.

Cool, where are you at? Those hybrids are A BLAST, arnt they!

What is a yellow bass? JGW

Middle TN, Yellow bass are smallest fish in the stripe family. They have a yellowish tint to them. They don’t get very big, a decent one is about 9". I think the record here in TN is just over 2 pounds. But they are plentiful, fun and take a fly. Good luck.
