There is likely some chumming involved in that video. Personally…chumming = not fly fishing. Just my own opinion.

That was my thought too; they sure we sipping something off the surface early in the video.
since the video shows no one chumming this could be a natural feeding pattern for the carp. I’ve seen this type of feeding occur when berries & or seeds are falling in the water. even when insects are hatching.
Around here they take cottwood seeds off the surface. You can even buy flies that look like those seeds.
