Normand, I like it a lot. Same basic technique as your ants? Love the look.
Normand,
Lots of fish-catching potential IMHO. I like it!!
Best regards, Dave S.
very nice.

the body is the same as the ants. pearly green colored beads, super glued in position, coated with clear cure goo and a final coat of sally hansen nail polish
biots for the wing buds
that’s an excellent tie norman. since when does the hook make a difference?
Please tie a couple with Amber/Tan beads, and let me toss them on the Gunnison in a couple months. Heck, I will throw em now and do fine.
Nice tie sir.
Why the Sally’s over the clear goo?
Think I’ll try the Clear Cure Goo - can you cure it with a regular UV Light like knot sense? Or do you need a special one.?
because the bottle of clear cure goo that i have dries tacky. you could leave it as is but everybody overcoats it.
clear cure goo does offer a tackless version.
i cannot answer that question.
will this work?
nice normand

Oh yeah! That will work just dandy!
i think i need to add some legs to these experiments
Legs might make you feel better. I know it wont make a difference to the fish I go after.
Very nice flies Normand. Your photography is excellent also.
Agree with everyone above. These are some great looking flies!
Flies look nice.
Do you know if there is a difference between the clear cure goo that is sold for fly tying and clear shoe goo?
Nice ties. Tried these type of patterns a while ago (epoxy version) and never had much luck fishing them. Problem is you really can’t get the body thin enough for a convincing imitation, in my opinion. Fun to play with, regardless.
i am not a chemist but i will venture a guess that they are not the same product
Normand,
Are you using the thin or thick variety of Clear Cure Goo? Have you tried the No-Tack stuff? They say there is no need to overcoat.
