Cabela's Vibram sole wading boots?

Hi, folks. I’ve been using L.L. Bean Aquasole wading boots since they first came out. They have worked pretty well, but I understand that the latest generation of “rubber” sole boots are far better. I noticed that Cabela’s also has a new boot with a textured Vibram outsole. Since they are priced well below most of the competition, I wondered if anyone has any first or second hand experience with them. Thanks.

Not those boots specifically, but I own a pair of Vibram FiveFingers shoes and they’re top notch. I cant wait for the weather to get warm enough (and the ground to get dry enough to wear them again! So no comment one way or the other on the boot, but a big thumbs up for Vibram.

I assume these boots can be resoled?

Yes, I bought a pair on Sale just recently and love them, they are amazingly comfortable, had no issues with grip, but of course I installed the cleats because I was winterfishing with them. So far a very good investment of $79.

Thanks for input. I think I’ll get me a pair.

I’d get the Korkers boots for $89. They have the vibram style sole, I think they call it kling-on rubber, and you get a pair of felt soles to go with it as well. Best deal going and 10 bucks less than the Cabelas.

Thanks for the tip, Hoochman. i’ll look into it.

I think I just got an LL Bean catalog that had some boots new “environmentally-friendly” soles. After reading that I promptly threw it in the can.
