hook - Dai Riki 899 #6
thread - Danville Flymaster Plus black
tail - Krystal Flash pearl
shellback/lip - 2mm foam tan
butt - deer hair orange
body - deer hair
collar - deer hair

Part 1

mash barb, start thread, tie in KF, fold back

taper foam strip (gap width); tie in

clean/trim a clump of deer hair, 2 soft loops, spin

pack it back; repeat with natural deer to the double wire, tie off/trim

Part 2

trim body

clean, stack, measure (tips to hook point) another clump of deer; spin it in, trim butts even with body

stroke collar back, create thread dam

pull foam forward; tie down

Part 3

double up foam to create lip

trim excess foam, trim tail, whip, SHHAN

trim out underside of collar
